Missions & Cocurriculars
Missions, service, and meaningful cocurricular involvement are an important part of the WJCS experience.
Throughout the school year, students will participate in community service opportunities designed to cultivate compassion, humility, responsibility, and a Christlike heart toward others. Our desire is to help students understand that the Christian life is not centered upon self, but upon loving God and serving people.
WJCS also places a strong emphasis on missions. As a ministry connected to Gospel Advance South Sudan,a church-planting and pastor-training ministry in South Sudan, we desire for students to develop a biblical understanding of the Great Commission and the importance of advancing the Gospel both locally and globally.
As opportunities become available, students may have opportunities to participate in mission trips, ministry projects, outreach efforts, and service initiatives that encourage spiritual growth and meaningful engagement with the world around them.
Through missions and cocurricular activities, we seek to help students develop leadership, teamwork, servant-hearted character, and a lifelong understanding that they are called to use their lives and gifts for the glory of God and the good of others.
