Mission

Our mission is to partner with parents to strengthen the Christian home through the gospel and a biblical worldview. Through this partnership, we seek to train students to live mission-minded lives and actively participate in the advancement of the Gospel.

“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” — Habakkuk 2:14

Vision

Our vision is to equip students to glorify God in every aspect of life.

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” — Revelation 4:11

Philosophy

At West Jefferson Christian School, we believe education is a lifelong, Christ-centered process that guides students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ while helping them develop the unique gifts and abilities God has given them. Our goal is to partner with families in preparing students to live lives marked by love for Christ, trust in His Word, and obedience to His will.

The following principles serve as the foundation of our philosophy of education:

  1. Parents hold the primary responsibility for the education and spiritual training of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Psalm 127:3; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4).

  2. Education is a continuous process that extends beyond the classroom and takes place daily through instruction, discipleship, and example.

  3. The ultimate goals of education are salvation and discipleship, helping students know Christ personally and grow in their faith.

  4. God’s Word is the foundation of truth and serves as the standard by which all teaching and learning are measured.

  5. Christ is to be preeminent in every area of life, including academics, relationships, character, and service.

  6. Education should encourage spiritual and moral growth, never hindering a child’s walk with Christ.

  7. When parents entrust part of their child’s education to others, it should be done carefully and prayerfully, ensuring that teachers and leaders support these biblical principles.

  8. Education shapes a student’s worldview, helping students develop beliefs and convictions grounded in Scripture.

  9. True wisdom comes from viewing all knowledge through a biblical framework, recognizing God as the source of truth and understanding.

  10. Education should prepare students not only for this life, but also with an eternal perspective, encouraging them to honor Christ in all they do.
