    West Jefferson Christian School is seeking a motivated and caring Mathematics teacher for grades 6–8. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, knowledgeable in their subject area, and committed to helping students grow both academically and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate will encourage students to think critically, pursue excellence, and develop a biblical worldview in and beyond the classroom.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teach Mathematics courses for students in grades 6–8.

    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support student learning and align with the mission of the school.

    • Incorporate biblical principles and Christian values into classroom instruction and student interactions.

    • Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages academic achievement and spiritual growth.

    • Evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and tests.

    • Communicate consistently with parents, students, and school leadership regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.

    • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to strengthen the overall educational experience.

    • Participate in school activities such as chapel services, faculty meetings, mentoring opportunities, and co-curricular events.

    • Stay informed on current educational practices and continue growing professionally as an educator.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.

    • State teaching certification preferred.

    • Previous teaching experience preferred.

    • Strong Christian testimony and support of the mission and values of West Jefferson Christian School.

    • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

    • Ability to connect with and engage students across a variety of learning levels.

    • Strong working knowledge of music theory and instrumental instruction.
